PSG strike deal to sign Portugese midfielder from FC Porto
According to Santi Aouna, Porto and PSG have reached an agreement for Vitinha’s sale (22). The midfielder from Portugal is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Parisian club.
Aouna is now stating that a €40 million deal has been reached.
The signing will be PSG’s second of the summer window, following the completion of the signing of fellow countryman Nuno Mendes (19), who spent last season on loan with the Ligue 1 champions. It will also be the first signing for new sporting adviser Luis Campos, who was previously the sporting director of Lille and Monaco.
Vitinha’s release clause is reported to be €40 million, and now that it has been satisfied, Porto is on the verge of losing the player, who had a deal with the club until 2024.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee made 30 league appearances for the Portuguese champions last season, scoring two goals and assisting three times.
