Manchester United set to offload six free agents players ahead of the Summer transfer window
At the start of the summer transfer window, Manchester United expects to lose six players.
The Red Devils are reshaping their roster in preparation for new manager Erik ten Hag.
According to the Mirror, United will enable six players whose contracts are up in the summer to leave the club.
Those players are Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong and Lee Grant.
There will be no attempts to persuade any of these players to extend their contracts, as United is content to forego their wages in order to fund a summer rebuild.
Others, such as Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, Dean Henderson, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe and Eric Bailly are under contract, but may want to move on for regular game time.
United is likely to let a couple of them go, but whether there are any more departures is entirely dependent on their new manager’s plans and how many players they can bring in.
