Manchester United and Liverpool have revealed their preseason schedules
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Manchester United and Liverpool have announced their first abroad preseason excursions.
United have announced two matches in Australia in July, as well as a fixture in Thailand versus Liverpool.
The Bangkok Century Cup pits Liverpool against United on Tuesday, July 12 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
United will then face Melbourne Victory, the four-time A-League Men’s champions, on July 15, before facing Crystal Palace, another Premier League club, four days later.
Both matches will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, which has a capacity of 100,000 people, and the Victorian government expects roughly 150,000 people to attend.
Victoria’s minister for employment, Jaala Pulford, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to see one of the world’s best sporting teams play in Melbourne.”
Manchester United’s previous trip to Australia was in July of this year, when they played Leeds United and Perth Glory in Perth.
