Salah defeated Kevin De Bruyne, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, and Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane to win the PFA Players’ Player of the Year title for the 2012/13 season.

The Egyptian was in superb form for Liverpool during the season, scoring the most goals and contributing the most assists in the Premier League. Salah and Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur were tied for the Golden Boot, with Salah scoring 23 goals and providing 14 assists.

Although Salah was unable to help Liverpool win their second Premier League title in three years, he was instrumental in their journey to the Champions League final, as well as FA Cup and Carabao Cup victories.

“Winning a trophy, whether individual or collective, is a huge honor, and this one is particularly special, so I’m overjoyed and happy.”

“This is a fantastic one to win, especially since it is decided by the players.” It demonstrates that you put forth a lot of work and achieved your goal. I had trophies in a cabinet in my room, and I made sure there was enough room for one more. I always leave room and attempt to envision where the goods might appear.

“As you get older, you feel more solid and know precisely what you want out of football, so all I’m trying to do right now is relax and support the squad.” That’s why I believe I deserved the playmaker award as well, since it’s as if you’re more conscious of the game, so you just try to help others while trying to better yourself.”
