According to 90min, Divock Origi has agreed personal terms with AC Milan, turning down the possibility to stay in the Premier League in order to secure a move to the San Siro.

Origi’s contract with Liverpool expires this summer, making him a free transfer target. The Belgian elected to quit despite being given a contract extension.

Origi joined Liverpool from Lille in 2014, but only a year later, after a season on loan in France.

The 27-year-old has never been a regular in Liverpool’s first team, having played in just over 40 games throughout his time there, but he has developed a cult following among the Anfield faithful.

During his tenure on Merseyside, he has scored some significant goals, including a hat-trick against Everton and the winner in the Champions League final against Tottenham in 2019.

Scott Saunders, Graeme Bailey, and Toby Cudworth star in 90min’s latest podcast, Talking Transfers. They talk about Manchester United’s goals for Cristiano Ronaldo under Erik ten Hag this week, as well as the impact of his continued presence on the club’s transfer plans. Kylian Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid, Robert Lewandowski is expected to leave Bayern Munich, Raphinha is expected to join Barcelona, and Steven Gerrard is expected to pursue Luis Suarez.

West Ham, Newcastle, Wolves, Southampton, and Crystal Palace were all interested in signing Origi on a free transfer, according to 90 minutes.

He also declined offers from teams across Europe, including France, Spain, and Turkey, in favor of a transfer to Milan.

Origi has already agreed to the terms, and he will sign his medical and contract within the next week.
