Juventus is reportedly interested in signing PSG forward Angel Di Maria to replace the club’s departing Paulo Dybala.

The 34-year-old is nearing the conclusion of his contract at Parc des Princes, which is set to expire this summer after seven years in the French capital.

He has been connected with a return to Benfica in the Portuguese Premier League, but it now appears that Juventus has joined the fold.

In 289 games for Paris, the former Manchester United striker scored 91 goals and added 115 assists.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady wants to sign the Argentinian winger as a substitute for Dybala, who is also out of contract this summer (via PSGTalk).

Dybala had been in talks with the Serie A heavyweights about extending his contract, but nothing came of it.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old will pursue a new team as a free agent this summer.

He has 113 goals in 284 games for Juventus since arriving from Palermo in 2015.

PSG forward Angel Di Maria possesses the necessary experience to succeed at Juventus.

Di Maria has made over 650 appearances in his career and has won trophies all across Europe.

At PSG, Di Maria won the Ligue 1 title four times and the French Cup four times.

He played for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final in 2020, but lost to Bayern Munich.

He previously won the European Cup with Real Madrid in 2014, perhaps his best performance in a big final.

Di Maria was man-of-the-match in Los Blancos’ 4-1 victory over Atletico Madrid, a performance that is still remembered today.

The 34-year-old has three times won La Liga, the Spanish Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup.

Di Maria began his professional career with Benfica, where he won the Primeira Liga and two Portuguese League Cups.

The Argentine has all of the qualities a Juve winger should have, and he might be a solid replacement for Dybala, whose absence will be felt.

He is, however, only likely to be a temporary solution for the Old Lady, given his age.
