English Premier League player of the year 2021/2022 has been confirmed

The Premier League player of the year has been named, and Mohamed Salah, despite an outstanding season, has been overlooked.

Phil Foden was named Young Player of the Season this week, beating out Trent Alexander-Arnold and Bukayo Saka for the honor.

Kevin De Bruyne has been named Premier League Player of the Season, as seen below. He isn’t the only Manchester City player to win an award today.

De Bruyne had a difficult start to the season but has 22 goals and assists with one game remaining. Manchester City is currently leading the Premier League and appears to be on course to win it.

Salah may feel cheated after scoring 35 goals and providing 34 assists in only 34 games, despite going through several dry spells, particularly after returning from the African Cup of Nations.

However, it’s difficult to dispute with De Bruyne’s performance this season, and appraising a player often requires seeing past statistics. The Belgian midfielder is crucial to Manchester City’s success, and they would not be where they are now without him.

He’s not only a creator, but he’s also the best player in the Premier League because of his ability to press and assist on defense.
