Chelsea announced 24-man squad for the FIFA Club World Cup

The Chelsea traveling party for the FIFA Club World Cup arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday morning, having left the UK in the early hours of the morning.

A total of 23 players have traveled, with Edouard Mendy expected to arrive later. Later today, he will compete in the Africa Cup of Nations final, which will pit Senegal against Egypt.

The Club World Cup is an opportunity for the German to add another major trophy to his Chelsea trophy cabinet after winning the Champions League last May, and he has a strong squad to help him do so.
