Barcelona set to receive €250 million through new La Liga deal

After having voted against the La Liga-CVC agreement during the summer of last year, Barcelona are ready to renegotiate the deal again as they look to bring in some financial injection within the club.

NEW STORY: BREAKING: Barcelona have reached full agreement with Chelsea defender ahead of Summer move

La Liga struck an agreement with CVC over a deal for the broadcast revenue and sponsorship rights for 50 years, worth around a massive €2.67 billion. As per the terms of the deal, each club would be guaranteed a percentage of the funding.

However, Barcelona were one of the few members opposing the deal, along with Real Madrid and Athletic Club. But the Catalans are now re-entering negotiations over the agreement as they are in urgent need of a financial boost.

As things stand, Barça are in a massive debt that needs to be dealt with while investments need to be made to strengthen the roster in the summer. Erling Haaland has been identified as the top target for the club and arranging the capital required to sign him in the current state is a huge challenge.

As a result, the club are now considering accepting the agreement between La Liga and CVC, which would bring in a massive €250 million financial boost for the Blaugrana.
