Barcelona interested in signing Manchester City star this summer
After failing to capture Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling in the past, Barcelona is interested in bringing him to the club.
Sterling reportedly sought Manchester City for permission to move to Barcelona in November, but Ferran Torres was instead sold to the Spanish giants.
Sterling’s current deal expires in less than 18 months, and conversations about extending it are underway. Sterling is rumored to be considering his next move, with Barcelona keen to lure the 27-year-old to the country.
Despite being turned down in January, Barcelona is still interested in meeting with Sterling and is keeping a careful eye on his contract status, according to 90min.
Manchester City must decide whether to cash in on the English forward or risk his present contract being ran down due to his contract expiring soon.
Barcelona manager Xavi has expressed his admiration for the Premier League’s talent. Ferran Torres, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and Adama Traore have all just joined the club from England, and the Spaniard is looking to add to the list.
Sterling struggled for playing time at the start of the season, but has gradually established himself as a fixture in Pep Guardiola’s squad.
