Barcelona has signed a sponsorship agreement worth €257m
Barcelona has officially confirmed a sponsorship deal with Spotify, in which the music streaming service will become the team’s primary shirt sponsor and the stadium will be renamed the Spotify Camp Nou.
“FC Barcelona and Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service, have agreed for the Swedish corporation to become the Club’s Main Partner and Official Audio Streaming Partner,” reads the announcement “Barcelona issued a statement.
“Beginning in the 2022/23 season and continuing for the next four seasons, the brand will be featured on the front of both men’s and women’s team shirts. Beginning in the 2022/23 season, Spotify will also sponsor the training jerseys for the next three seasons.
“Spotify and FC Barcelona will collaborate to provide opportunities for the iconic shirt to become a platform where artists from all over the world can be celebrated.” For the first time in the Club’s history, the Stadium will be renamed Spotify Camp Nou as part of the partnership.
“The partnership’s goal is to build a new platform that will allow artists to communicate with FC Barcelona’s global fan base.”
“The long-term agreement for the stadium’s title rights will begin in July 2022 and run through the ambitious redevelopment of the Camp Nou site, as part of the Espai Barça project, which will transform the Club’s facilities and environment into a world-class, new integrated Barça entertainment experience open to the city.””
